Small Plane Crash Leaves Two Dead in U.S. Idaho

(MENAFN) Two fatalities occurred following a small aircraft accident Tuesday in Idaho's Black Canyon region near Emmett, local officials confirmed.

The Gem County Sheriff's Office reported the plane collided with a power line approximately 11 a.m. local time (1800 GMT) mid-flight before descending into a frozen river section. The aircraft was traveling through the area when it struck the electrical infrastructure.

Emergency responders including law enforcement, county fire services, and emergency medical personnel arrived at the crash site. Multiple agencies coordinated recovery efforts in challenging winter conditions. Investigators are currently examining what caused the deadly incident.

The collision triggered widespread electrical service disruption throughout eastern Gem County's communities, affecting numerous residents and businesses in the surrounding area.
