Aurigny vows more reliable service for the Channel Islands
The airline will operate twice-daily flights between Guernsey and Jersey from late March through October, stepping in after Blue Islands collapsed and Loganair failed to secure a license for the route.
Philip Saunders, Aurigny’s chief commercial officer, emphasized the responsibility the airline now carries, saying: “Everyone at the airline recognises the significance of the trust placed in us.”
The new schedule begins March 29 and runs until October 24. Flights will depart Guernsey at 07:20 GMT Monday through Saturday, with Sunday services starting at 08:00. The final flight each day will leave Jersey at 17:40.
Saunders explained that the timetable was designed to allow efficient day trips for business travelers while maximizing leisure time for weekend visitors. He added: “We will be dedicated each and every day to deliver a much better and more reliable service than experienced on the route in recent years.”
This move marks a significant effort to restore confidence in inter-island travel and strengthen connectivity between Guernsey and Jersey.
