Libyan Army Chief Dies in Plane Crash Near Ankara
In an official statement, the government led by Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh described the incident as “a tragic loss to the nation, the military establishment, and all the people.”
The statement further noted: “We have lost men who served their country with sincerity and dedication and were an example of discipline, responsibility, and national commitment.”
Earlier, Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya reported that the wreckage of the Falcon 50 aircraft, which was bound for Tripoli and carrying Haddad, was discovered south of Haymana, close to Ankara.
